Safety

Why should you learn to swim well it is all about safety.  The first rule  for safety is always stay with an adult when you go way out.For example if you are at the beach and a big wave approaches you,When you know how to swim you are more likely to live though a big wave,but if  you do not know how to swim you can die.

health

The second reason is health,now health is very important for your body.For

example,when you are swimming you are all ready and it is healthy for your body.sometimes you do not even notice it is healthy for your body.

exercise   

OK exercise is good even when you are swimming.It is great a good sport and as I said good exercise. For you are swimming at the pools and

you are doing a couple of  laps that is good for you and you are doing a great  exercise.

Fun

When you are swimming it is fun but if you go too far you will drown.like for instance pitcher yourself at a friends birthday party

and you go swimming at the beach.You are having too much fun that you do not even notice that you went way out, and can not swim in very deep water.So never go out,only if you are with a parent or someone over 18.

Competition

Now Competitions,you might find yourself as a good swimmer, so you would want to be a professional  and swim in the Olympics.For instance you are a good swimmer and you would like to well be in the Olympics

but you are actually very bad  at swimming so what would you do,you would you do… you would learn how to swim.

Fred and His Amazing Night-time Powers - Part 1

WALT: Share our understanding of the text as it is read (comprehension).

1. How do you know that Mrs Rams bottom regretted the kids bringing torches last year?Everyone was staying up to late and eating.

2. How come Fred didn’t groan?He was blind so teachers did not mean anything to him.

3. How did the boys feel about Fred? How do you know?The boys looked at each other and thought that Fred would not fit in.

4. What kind of personality do you think James Cowan has? What kind of kid is he?He is a cheeky kid

5. Why did the boys make Fred sleep on the bottom bunk?Because they don’t want to be the ones who are responsible for when he falls off the top bunk.Because they do not want the responsible for when Fred falls off in the middle of the night.

6. What kind of jobs do you think the kids had to do?They had to do their own dishes,They had to  make their beds and neatly,put their bags under their bed neatly.

My year five and six camp writing.

Have you been camping before? Well I have.The year five and six students went camping and it was a blast, we went to the coolest place ever to camp, that  place was school. We camped at school and I loved it. We had all sorts of fun like cooking, get lost and roller blading.

My most favourite activity was kayaking. Kayaking was amazing because I had a lot of fun and I went right out to the red point by myself, also we were learning how to get into the kayak without falling like we had to climb in by foot bum foot, caretakers was the last group so we were lucky.

Kayaking, it really fun and that is why it is my favourite.

Now top town was also my favourite because it was fun and it was a good chance to corporate with friends and other Pt England also lots of fitness. We raced and crawled and thew and passed but we never gave up even though we came last .I love top town  it is fun and creative.

Also get lost was not bad it was pretty fun. My team had to do the gangnam style,go to oamaru creek and we had to paint our face and dress up.Sometimes we got confused but other times we were sharp.Also we used a Ipad to record it all and it was crazy.

During the evening I was shivering In my tent so I put a few more blankets on. Me and my buddies stayed up most of the night talking about what we were going to do tomorrow. We all wondered what we were actually  going to do,we wondering what we were  going to eat what we are going to do and we wanted to go kayaking again.

Camp is a fun area. I love it because I can play  with friends and meet new kids. Next time I come to camp I am going to make sure that I go kayaking first. Camp is a creative place. When  I am a year 6 I can not wait to go back and have the fun all over again.

My school camp

Yesterday the year five and six students started camp.It was the first time I ever went camping  it was cool,My favourite thing about camp was when my team went kaykaing it was amazing,I went way out on my own. My other favourite thing was when I p it was fun.

Camp is fun and a good time to bound with my friend Quinlan.I love camp so much,at first I thought that I won't be ok but I  turned out pretty good.I hope the year fours will enjoy camp when they turn into a year five.

Here are my results for my typing test. I had a few mistakes, but I hope to get a better results in the next test.

My frog life cycle

Do you want to learn about the frog life cycle? Well let me tell you all about it. For the frog life it starts as a little spawn.The spawn is covered in sticky jelly  so it will stay safe.

Once the spawn has grown it will turn  into a little fish. The fish is called a tadpole.Tadpoles have gills so they can breath on land.

When the tadpole has grown a bit more the tail

will fall off and two legs will grow ,then the tadpole will be a froglet.

Froglets hide under leaves and stones so they do not get eaten.

Sometimes they die even when hiding.

OK the froglet is going to be a frog.It is now time  for the froglet  to go through a thing  called metamorphosis. After a while the froglet's gills will disappear and out comes a fully grown frog. The frog will find a partner and the life cycle starts all over again.
